Carnegie XL Refines Offerings
AUSTIN, TEXAS – October 1, 2007 – Jupiter Band Instruments, Inc. announces the expansion of its popular Carnegie XL product catalog this fall. All Carnegie XL models will feature new engraving designs and upgrades to metals with higher precious metals content. With the addition of the professional level Conservatory series, the Carnegie XL line offers a full spectrum of instruments to better serve student, intermediate, school bid and professional needs.

A grenadilla wood clarinet joins the Academic series. It features an improved scale and a .577” bore along with offset trill keys, nickel silver bell rings and forged nickel-plated nickel silver keys. An adjustable neck strap is also included.

Building on the success of the Jupiter XO professional series, the professional level Carnegie XL Conservatory line will offer three new flutes, alto and tenor saxophones, a new trumpet and trombone. Both the CF-1050 and CF-1050-1 open hole flutes offer a sterling silver headjoint, body and foot with 24K gold-plated lip plate and head crown.  The CTR-1600 silver trumpet has .459” bore and a silver-plated yellow brass, rose brass leadpipe and 24k gold-plated fittings.

The CTB-1360 trombone comes with three interchangeable leadpipes and a one-piece hand-hammered 8.5”bell. The CAS-2000 and CTS-2000 saxophones have hand-hammered silver necks, and come standard with the Jupiter XO hard rubber mouthpiece complete with Rovner EVO-5 ligature.
