Bio:

Joshua Hernandez is a seasoned trombone artist whose musical journey continues to expand and evolve. A two-time Texas All-State band member, winner of the 2016 Dave Koz scholarship, bass trombonist in the 2017 Jazz Band of America and 2016 & 2017 Next Generation Jazz Orchestra, Hernandez also earned the bass trombone chair in the prestigious University of North Texas One O’Clock Lab Band and the Disney All American College Band, demonstrating that his pursuit of musical excellence knows no bounds.

Though his roots lie in jazz, Joshua has recently found a new passion in Mexican music, where he explores the vibrant melodies of Corridos on the valve trombone and alto horn. His expertise and proficiency have earned him numerous recording engagements with major record labels and have allowed him to collaborate with esteemed artists. He can be heard on recordings with Danny Lux, Nivel Codiciado, Erre, and Christian Lara, among many others.

Also a prolific content creator, Hernandez has found a significant audience on platforms such as Instagram and Tik-Tok where his content specific to bass trombone, valve trombone, and other musical selections and topics have received millions of views.
